What is an Online Job Board?

Online job boards are platforms where employers list job vacancies and job seekers search and apply for positions in their preferred industry and geographic location. Some online job boards, such as Indeed, are general sites that host a wide variety of opportunities across industries, employment types, and locations. However, there are also specialized job boards that cater to certain industries and jobs.

Below is a list of 10 online job boards you can use to find jobs in the energy, environment, and sustainability fields. 

  1. Clean Energy Jobs – The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Job Board.
  2. Climatebase – Discover job opportunities at thousands of organizations working on climate solutions.
  3. Conservation Job Board – One of the world’s largest conservation job boards with hundreds of job postings in conservation, wildlife, forestry, and ecology.
