
If you identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally here at UMass Lowell, we want you to know about the many resources on campus available to faculty, staff, and students to stay connected. That’s why we’ve compiled a quick guide to some of our favorites here.
Faculty and Staff
Start or join an employee resource group!
Employee resource groups, sometimes called affinity groups, are a great way to connect with LGBTQ+ peers and allies. The Office of Equal Opportunity and Outreach coordinates with faculty and staff to create employee resource groups. At UMass Lowell, there are two that currently exist that could be relevant for LGBTQ+ community members:

Students
Join a club or organization!
Pride Alliance is “focused on offering a safe space for LGBTQ+ students and allies to socialize, as well as promoting acceptance and activism across campus”. They meet weekly every Thursday evening in University Crossing.
Become a Queer Peer mentor!
Want to help other LGBTQ+ students connect with resources and peers on campus? The Queer Peers Program is a great opportunity to build relationships, leadership skills, and connect with your LGBTQ+ identity. Not feeling ready to become a mentor, but still want to connect? Sign up as a mentee!
