We’re looking for a Co-op for Hardware Deep Learning Interface Development!
About the Position:
E Ink’s Deep Learning Center is seeking a creative co-op to join our team, to invent and develop advanced driving methods for e-Paper display technology. Your job will be to write code to control essential production and exciting research hardware tools. Specifically, you will be writing new and using existing APIs to control electronics, cameras, spectrometers, and other pieces of hardware. In doing so, you will help streamline a number of new, deep learning-based processes used to create new products in record time. You will also help develop software environments to control new setups for research purposes. Once operational, these will contribute to new, fundamental understanding of the science underlying e-Paper display technology.
Job Responsibilities
Work in a team to finalize a software codebase to control a large set of production hardware used in mass production
- Write APIs to control new hardware for high precision measurements
- Test the performance of code controlling the hardware in the lab with minimal supervision
- Help assess the improvement of critical deep learned models when trained on data from new hardware
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing B.S. or M.S degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Control Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Object-oriented programming experience and a passion to learn new programming languages. Python and C++ will be used.
- Motivated, introspective, compelled to troubleshoot, understand, and improve actual devices
Preferences:
- Experience with electronic devices and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, Arduinos, and DAQs
- Experience presenting work at conferences and/or public speaking

Pay Rate Range Disclosure: The pay rate range for this position is $25 to $35 an hour, not including any variable pay. The pay range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
