Overview:
Intern to support our initiatives in sustainable procurement practices, policy research, and stakeholder engagement. This internship provides an opportunity to work at the intersection of procurement, sustainability, and public policy, gaining hands-on experience in policy development, regulatory compliance, and sustainable supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:

Policy Research & Analysis:
- Assist in researching and analyzing sustainability policies, public procurement regulations, and industry best practices.
- Track and summarize legislative developments impacting procurement sustainability.
- Support the preparation of policy briefs, reports, and presentations.

Sustainable Procurement Initiatives:
- Help assess and enhance sustainable procurement policies within the organization.
- Conduct supplier sustainability assessments and support ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance initiatives.
- Assist in developing strategies to integrate sustainable practices into procurement decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Support collaboration with government agencies, non-profits, and private sector partners on procurement sustainability policies.
- Assist in organizing events, workshops, and training sessions on sustainable procurement.
- Prepare communication materials to promote sustainability efforts internally and externally.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to sustainable procurement metrics and ESG performance.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports to track sustainability impact.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with reporting requirements on sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Policy, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (e.g., UN Sustainable Development Goals, ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement Standard, ESG principles) is a plus.
- Interest in public procurement policies and regulatory affairs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
