The State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) is currently recruiting for a Law Enforcement Systems Analyst to work within the Collect Unit. The Collect Unit independently performs a full range of tasks in association with Governance, Risk, Compliance and training of state and local law enforcement entities that have access to the use of federal and state Criminal Justice law enforcement systems and applications in Middletown, CT.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- This position is full-time, following a first shift schedule, 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the potential for telework with the successful completion of the working test period.
- Travel may be required to perform site surveys, conduct off site training and attend seminars, symposiums, and conferences.
This position will be responsible for:
- Conducting audits for regulatory compliance;
- Training of criminal and non-criminal justice agencies throughout the state;
- The development of and updates to the audits and training materials; and

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years of experience in the examination and evaluation or training of law enforcement systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
- College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor’s degree.
- A Master’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
- Successful completion of the Connecticut Careers Trainee program in the evaluation of and training on law enforcement systems may be substituted for the General Experience.
