Job Overview

Join our nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering families and individuals through a variety of impactful social programs. Our mission focuses on fortifying families and enhancing community ties through education, thereby diminishing feelings of isolation and fostering connections both within families and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support fundraising initiatives and assist in organizing events.

• Facilitate relationships between educational institutions and our organization.

• Promote our mission at local colleges and universities by distributing informational materials and raising awareness of our events.

• Attend various meetings and events as instructed by the director and provide detailed reports on the proceedings.

• Share information about our organization with your personal network and community members.

• Handle incoming calls and assist in client registration.

• Draft correspondence and contribute to grant writing efforts.

• If bilingual, assist with translation of oral and written communications and documents.

• Support office management and maintain accurate records.

• Provide assistance to children with their homework.

• Aid clients in finding job opportunities.

• Assist individuals with anger management counseling.

• Educate community members on cultural tolerance.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the director.

Required Skills

• Proficient research and writing capabilities.

• Bilingual ability (if applicable) for translation tasks.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to manage office responsibilities and maintain records.

• Patience and aptitude for assisting children in their educational endeavors.

• Understanding of cultural sensitivity and conflict resolution strategies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fundraising or event management is advantageous.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative approach are essential.

• Familiarity with community resources and social services is beneficial.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred.
