Position Summary

Join our 2025 Yes Energy Internship Program and enjoy the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will shape your career in Forecasting. The Estimation team needs a forecasting analyst intern to help collect data and support our mission to provide the most accurate forecasting solutions.

Position Details

  • Internship Program Period: 10 Week Program (6/2/2025 – 8/8/2025)
  • Full-Time; temporary w/ no benefits
  • Hybrid
  • Location: Yes Energy Core Offices
  • Hourly Rate Range:
    • $18.00/hr – 1st year Intern
    • $19.00/hr – 2nd year Intern
    • $20.00/hr – 3rd year Intern
    • $21.00/hr – 4th year Intern
  • Reports to: Forecasting Analysis Manager

The intern will learn and be exposed to

  • A modified training schedule consisting of lectures from the forecast analysis team
  • Shadowing sessions with the analysts to learn about day-to-day work
  • Present your project to leaders within the company at the end of the internship.

Project Work

  • Conduct a data-driven research project to improve forecast accuracy or analysis

Requirements

  • Background in economics and mathematics
  • Grade point average of 3.0 or higher, verifiable by an official transcript
  • Non-citizens will need to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to commute to the Richmond Office location
  • Analytical understanding of statistics and/or econometrics and data
  • Familiar with computer programming
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
  • Critical thinking skills and passion for learning

Key Responsibilities

  • Help improve the performance of demand forecasting models
  • Assist in the collection and maintenance of data critical to supporting these models
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the increasingly critical energy industry
  • Gain experience working in an international small business environment

Intern Recruitment Process

Applications will close on February 2nd. We will contact candidates in late February to early March to conduct screen interviews, and final candidates can expect final interviews by late March.
