Career Advising
Alumni who graduated in the past 12 months
Individuals who graduated within the past 12 months are able to seek career advising through 15-minute career consultations, scheduled appointments, or both. Once your UMass Lowell single sign-on credentials no longer work, please call our office at 978-934-2355 to schedule a career advising appointment.
Alumni who graduated more than 12 months ago
Alumni who completed their degree more than 12 months ago are welcome to schedule up to 3 career advising appointments per year. Please call our office at 978-934-2355 if you would like to schedule a career advising appointment.
Please note that if the university closes for inclement weather, advising appointments are cancelled.
Resources
Alumni are welcome to utilize the tools and resources that are publicly available on our website, including career exploration tools, job trend data, and “how to” information about career topics such as resume writing, interviewing, salary negotiation, and networking. Robust information is available about career clusters such as Business, Finance, Consulting & Data and Energy, Environment & Sustainability; a total of 7 career clusters are represented under the “Explore Career Options” section of our site.
Handshake, the site that contains job postings, is available for alumni use. Alumni are able to request access to the site after their UMass Lowell single sign-on credentials no longer work. Please note that Handshake is a student and early career platform and therefor alumni who completed their degree more than a few years ago may not find opportunities relevant to the level of experience they have to offer.
Alumni are encouraged to explore the many resources available 24-7 on our site.
Career Fairs
UMass Lowell alumni are welcome to participate in career fairs hosted by the Career & Co-op Center. You can find upcoming career fairs listed in the events feed on our website.
Posting Opportunities & Providing Career Guidance
If you are UMass Lowell graduate who has jobs or internships that you would like to post, please visit our employer pages for details about recruiting. Alumni who are willing to share career guidance and/or mentoring to students are encouraged to join UMLConnect, a networking and volunteer platform that is managed by UML’s alumni relations team.
