Co-op Advising
Students in the Professional Co-op Program are supported by a co-op advisor that provides education, coaching, and ongoing guidance on careers and skills necessary for success in the professional world. The co-op advisor assists students in preparing for co-op and identifying opportunities that match their goals and interests. Co-op advisors work closely with students in one-on-one counseling throughout all aspects of the job search process. The co-op advisor also works closely with employer partners in developing, enhancing and maintaining co-op positions that align with the educational goals of the college.
Students in the Professional Co-op Program are also supported by a team of Co-op Program Assistants. Co-op Program Assistants are students who have successfully completed at least one professional co-op experience. They are available to meet with students in one-on-one drop-in meetings for assistance with resume writing, interviewing, and general guidance throughout all of aspects of the job search process.
Drop-in assistance is an excellent starting point for quick questions about the co-op program or job search. Can’t find a time to meet with your co-op advisor? Try a drop-in to get pointed in the right direction. Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis during 15-minute consultations with a Co-op Program Assistant.
