Jessica is a Nurse Practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Cardiac Surgery division. Jessica got hooked on the medical industry after spending her high school summers driving an ambulance in her town!

>> Surgical nurse practitioner, you get to see your patients that are very, very sick, come in, they can't even walk from here to the bathroom, and then when they go home they recover very fast, usually. And then some of them, you know, they're running marathons, they're really doing things they haven't done in maybe 20 years. Some of the bad things about it are, the schedule, because of the rotating, you know, always having to be on call in a sense, and always kind of, never knowing if your coming or going, because you're working days and nights, and evenings and what not. But this is only 3 days a week, you can kind of, you can, it's manageable.
