[ Music ] >> What's some of the main thing [background music] that kind of stands out on a resume that you look for? >> Really, what we're looking for is, first of all, the major, making sure if it's what our company is looking for. And also, the way they introduce themselves, first of all, manner, appearance is a big thing. >> Someone who can come up and perhaps have some understanding in advance of what we do in the industry that we work in. Sometimes, we get students that will kind of walk up and not really have a clear sense of direction. They indicate they're not sure what they really want to do when they graduate and they just seem to be fishing around for different companies. And, that's generally not the type of the candidate that we'll interview the second time. >> It is definitely a plus for students who have done their homework the night before and know that they want to come and talk to our company and say, "I looked you up online". I'm looking for students that know what they're looking for. I don't want them to come with-- if they answer, I want them to say, "I'm looking for full-time and I'm looking for position in this," or if they're not sure what they're looking for, I want them to at least have an idea of a general area, you know, I want something computer science. But confidence and just kind of open to talking to any employer is what I'm really looking for. >> We're looking for people who've got good background and leadership skills and they demonstrated this in some of the activities they got involved with in college, outside of school, and also, at their academic accomplishments as well. But we're looking for a well-rounded person, someone who's got a fire in their belly to really be successful as a leader in business. >> Tell us a little bit about what you look for when students will kind of approach your booth here at the Career Fest. >> Sure, yeah. We look for, well, strong GPA, interpersonal skills. Some sort of leadership is always a plus. And if they satisfy, you know, the hard skills. By hard skills I mean, you know, the technical skills, the Excel, the SAS, whatever that position need is. >> What about when you-- a student hands you their resume, is there anything that kind of stands out to you? >> Yeah, well, I mean there's always, you know, you want to find the things, and see if there are similar [inaudible] technologies that you use and what they're currently using. But for us, it's also seeing, you know, seeing things that are like [inaudible] or seeing that they dedicated a specific amount of time something outside of work. This small company with only 10 employees, we don't expect anyone to actually know what we do. But it's nice to know when people say, "Oh, I went to your website and I saw what's there." And so, that is immediately impressive. It makes people more memorable so. >> I think the biggest thing we look for is that when students done their homework and know who we are, know what we're hiring for. And then second to that is their internship experience. So, we want to hire people that can come in from the beginning and hit the ground running. So, having that experience with the internship certainly helps. [ Music ]
